A spiral strand is made up of several layers of helically twisted steel wires. Layers are spun in opposing directions to provide structural and torque stability. Because of the use of high strength steel wires, it is an excellent candidate for tension member in static applications. Our patented Aulone blocking compound fills the cable from the inside, reducing the impact of steel-steel contact and providing an additional barrier against corrosion.
